Parade, July 3, 2011: "Grill, Baby, Grill"
(Photograph by Stephanie Rausser)Stand back! When America's gutsiest grillmeister, Guy Fieri, broke out a blow-torch to blast a hunk of meat on this cover, he lived out the dreams of every backyard pit boss we know. And to ensure that readers' meals lived up to their fire-stoked fantasies, PARADE presented a Summer Eating Guide inside that was packed with enough grilling tips, techniques, and recipes to satisfy the hungriest hordes.
Well I think there photo is a bit dark. I believe it should be a slight bit lighter for the pack ground for him to pop out more. And they could have made the Fire look more realistic. They also could have made the wording a different color made the colors more vivid instead of drowning the background all together like they did. But in the upper hand I love the way Guy is standing its a wonderful pose. The fire and steak was a marvelous idea it catches the eyes which makes people buy it. Which will help with selling the product. Its was well catches the essence of what Guy's job is all about being a National Famous chef.

5 things
1! It glows in vivid colors that will inevitably turn
disappointingly dull when printed in ink. A hard-copy printout may be
closer.
2! If the cover pops out from its background, don’t weaken it by fussing with it.
3! Check out the suggestions about the four type sizes. A magazine is first and foremost a physical product, so experiment with it as such and be sure to make the most of its capabilities.
4! Worst of all, it is virtual. It is just an illusory likeness of the physical paper product that your potential buyer will ultimately be holding. If you are producing magazines on paper, think and remain conscious of “paperness” all the time.
5! Never trim a printout, mount it beautifully, and display it with its alternates on the finely polished surface of the conference-room table.

Promts
Most Best song of 2012
The best song of the year. Is the remix of dirt road anthem. Song by Jason Alden and Ludicrous. In this photo they are preforming at the 2012 grammy's. I love how the song describes how small towns are. How tight people are and how one things is said and everyone knows by the end of the day.
Best movie of 2012
Breaking Dawn of course :), I love the story that plays out in the movie. How people come around and people for around the world comes around to protect one little girl. I guess Vampires are just one huge family.
Most important new story
Mass shooting. Where a 20 year old man walked into a school with a shot and took the lives of many Children. I chose this story because it was the one that touched my heart and made me shed a few tears. Its a terrible fate that those kids barley began there life. They didn't even get to realize what there parents meant or get to have kids. Just terrible.
Who was the most important person of the year.
I believe the most important person of the year is Mr. Brock Obama. After all he is what the wonderful nation trusts with its deepest darkest secrets. The President is the one with all our futures in our hands I know it doesn't seem like it but he really is the most important person alive well until we elect a new one.
Best Sports Story
Linebacker Jordan Mastrogiovanni, who had been committed to the Sooners since June, flipped to the Aggies on Sunday night.
This story was the one I paid attention to because well. He is one of my favorite players on the teams, and I couldn't belive he would switch on the Sooner like that. He was a great player and the sooners with loose a good player but have a chance to gain another one.
Three Favorite Photo of 2012
This is one of my favorite pictures of 2012 because I love alligators and with it having red eyes. Gives it a difference from the other alligator pictures.
I love this photo because well. Its a dry River so from space it will look like a dead tree, And I love the texture.I love snow and I like how the walls don't even look like snow. It just looks like a ice wall which makes the depth of the tunnel amazing. Not to mention the lights reflection off the snow gives it a splash of color.

Extra credit
1. Explain what happened to the man that was killed by the subway and how the photographer was able to take the photo.
The man was pushed on to the train tracks, and the photographer has set his setting and snapped the shot to get the drivers attention but it was far to late.

To alert the Subway train driver.

3. Do you think the photographer should have taken the photo?
No if he had time to change the setting on his camera he could have at least tried to save the man.
No if he had time to change the setting on his camera he could have at least tried to save the man.
4. Do you think the photographer did the best thing he could have done in this situation? Why or why not?
No. Because as I stated above. He still could have went over there and grabbed the man, He may have suffered a torn leg or broken bones but his life would have been spared.

5. Do you agree or disagree with the decision to run the photo on the front page of the New York Post? Explain why or why not.
No. Why would you do that, The photographer still tried to save the man life I would at least gave him some credit in stead of turning on him.
No. Why would you do that, The photographer still tried to save the man life I would at least gave him some credit in stead of turning on him.
6. What is more important to a photojournalist, capturing images of life as it happens or stopping bad things from happening? Why or why not?
Well it all depends because. Some photos can be fore lives greater things or they can turn very bad. Like the hurricane Katrina story. The guy posted the picture so he was able to get more help.

7.
Do you think it is ever ethically acceptable for a photographer to
involve himself/herself in a situation that he or she photographs? Explain why or why not.
Once again it depends on the situation. If they are trying to save a life then I would. If they are doing it for the fame factor then no.

8. Should photojournalists always avoid influencing events as they happen? Explain your answer.
No because it might save someone's life. Help them in a sticky situation, Find someone missing child and they didn't know was missing. Its small things like this that make a difference in our society and it doesn't matter if we shoot the photos or not. They will be someone Else's treasure.

9.
After reading the responses from the professional photographers, what
stands out as the most appropriate response for a photographer to this
situation.
I love the one by Vincent. He was in a similar situation wanting to help and in a way her did. They show that he did something to help not for personal gain.

Models face
1. List the changes that were made to the model's face in the computer. (Look carefully)
Her eyes and eyebrows are changed, Her neck is made londer and skinner. And something is done to er lips.
2. Is it ethically acceptable to change a person's appearance like this in a photo? Why or why not?
I don't beleive not. It's just showing America that you can't look that perfect with technology.
3. Are there circumstances in which it would be more ethically wrong to do this type of manipulation? In the state of fashion it is fin. But in the real world when you are shooting something that's a event or something you doing in that point of view you don't want to manipulate the photo its just a not good thing to do.
4. What types of changes are OK, and what aren't?
The changing your apperance is sometimes ok but some times not. Like if you want to do it for like job or something then its fine. But if its for your home and other things you don't want to do that because well it your family and friends you want them to see them as they are.
5. Explain what you think the differences are between fashion photography and photojournalism.
Fashion photography is making someone look to perfect, when Photojournalism you are capturing the essence of how a person is.
6. What relationship does each type of photography have to reality, and how does this affect the ethical practice of each?
Fashion: You are making someone want to buy it because you want to look like them.
When Photojournalism you are capturing the real world.
Her eyes and eyebrows are changed, Her neck is made londer and skinner. And something is done to er lips.
